Transport, Aricò: “65 more routes on flights to Lampedusa and Pantelleria between July and August”

Increased frequency of air connections to Lampedusa and Pantelleria in July and August. This was announced by the regional councilor for Infrastructure and Mobility, Alessandro Aricò.

"Based on market demand and the growing requests received - explains government representative Schifani - we have agreed with the Dat Volidisicilia company, which operates the territorial continuity flights on these two smaller islands, an increase of 65 routes in the connections with Palermo, Trapani and Catania in the two central months of summer 2025. In the folds of the expenditure chapter already used for the service we have found the resources to ensure another 47 routes on Lampedusa, 20 in July and 27 in August, and another 18 on Pantelleria, 8 in July and 10 in August. All these additional flights will also be operated with the discounted rates of territorial continuity and will allow us to develop a passenger traffic of over 3000 more travelers than currently, meeting the great tourist demand of the Sicilian islands, but also the needs of our citizens who reside there".

For residents, fares range from a minimum of 33.02 euros (Trapani-Pantelleria flight) to a maximum of 50.79 euros (Palermo-Lampedusa). For non-residents, from a minimum of 43.02 euros (Pantelleria-Trapani) to a maximum of 66.83 (Palermo-Lampedusa).

Savarino: “Good increase in flights to Lampedusa and Pantelleria, Schifani government always attentive to smaller islands”

"I would like to thank my colleague Alessandro Aricò for the initiative that allows Lampedusa and Pantelleria to increase the frequency of air connections with Sicily in the peak season. This is an important measure, which underlines the great attention that the Schifani government has always had towards those who live and work on the smaller islands, for the economic and tourist activities that will certainly benefit from the increase in flights and for the visitors who, in greater numbers, will be able to learn about and enjoy the natural wonders of our territories". This was stated by the Councillor for Territory and Environment of the Sicilian Region, Giusy Savarino, regarding the increase of 65 Dat Volidisicilia routes in the months of July and August, operated on the two islands' airports with the airports of Palermo, Catania and Trapani, thanks to the resources found by the regional department of Infrastructure and Mobility.
